VR wants to go to heaven! This company plans to bring VR cameras into space in August this year.

SpaceVR's CEO Ryan Holmes showed the outside world the VR camera that the company will bring into space. Eight cameras were installed on this small satellite. During the nine-month "space travel" period, these cameras will shoot two or three hours of 360-degree video per month.

SpaceVR's VR camera will carry SpaceX rockets into space and is expected to be launched in August this year.

Ryan Holmes said that after astronauts saw the human condition in the universe, they became better people and had more contacts with other people. If everyone can get this kind of experience, our world will become different because our way of thinking will change. My goal is to allow ordinary people to see our universe picture through VR cameras and get the experience of astronauts.

To this end, SpaceVR raised a total of US$1.25 million last year. The major investment is from Shanda Group. There is also some funding from the "VR for Impact" fund recently launched by HTC Vive, which is committed to investing in VR projects that will have a positive impact on society.

SpaceVR was founded in January 2015 as the chief technology officer of SpaceVR, former US NASA engineer Blaze Sanders. In addition, SpaceVR also hired some well-known senior professionals as technical consultants.
