Portland, Oregon, USA — July 8, 2015 - Lattice Semiconductor Corporation (NASDAQ: LSCC), a leading provider of programmable smart interconnect solutions, today announced the adoption of Huawei's next-generation flagship smartphone P8 Lattice's iCE40 LM FPGA for 4G receive optimization. Huawei will continue to use Lattice's low-latency, tunable antenna controllers in other devices using the Kirin 930 chipset.
The Signal+ technology in Huawei's P8 mobile phone uses the iCE40 LM FPGA to automatically optimize 4G reception in various RF environments. Huawei's antenna solution can achieve 80 times faster speed than other solutions. In high-density cities or rural areas with limited coverage, in a very crowded or poorly-transmitted RF environment, the quality of reception is higher than that of competitors. Get a 40% increase.
