JSR Opens Liquid Crystal Display Material R&D Center in Korea

In order to strengthen its research and development functions, JSR announced that it has opened a research and development center within Korea's JSR Micro Korea, a company that produces and sells liquid crystal display (LCD) materials (JSR 100%, Chungcheongbuk-do, South Korea). The new R&D building and the purchase evaluation device require approximately 1 billion yen in investment. JSR Group is optimistic about South Korean companies with a global share of LCD panel championships. They have been using the experimental facilities of JSR Micro Korea to provide technical services to customers. In addition to the new cleaning workshop, the R&D center opened this time also added evaluation and analysis devices. As a result, the company has formed a system in South Korea that can develop a complete set of products.

JSR has also taken steps to strengthen its technical services and R&D system in China, as major LCD panel companies such as China and Japan, South Korea and Taiwan are planning to build new factories in China. Following the Korean R&D center, JSR is currently building an R&D building in Taiwan's JSR Micro Taiwan. JSR's policy is to join forces with China's local legal entity, JSR (Shanghai), to strengthen its ability to respond to customers on the basis of accurate grasp of China market information.
