Original title: hit it off! Walmart uses STRIVR technology for employee training
Wal-Mart, the world's largest retailer, is very interested in virtual reality. Following the plan to build a VR shopping system, Wal-Mart recently announced that it will cooperate with STRIVR Studios to use VR technology for employee training.

Wal-Mart said that starting from the end of this year, 200 Wal-Mart schools in the United States will cooperate with STRIVR Studio to create VR training courses, including management and customer service. Each college will be equipped with Oculus Rift head-up display and display training content of the computer, receiving about 150,000 employees each year. At present, the two companies have launched pilot projects at Walmart's 30 training centers at the end of January.
VR's STRIVR Studio provides "Wal-Mart Academy" VR training courses that include a variety of 360-degree videos and experience durations ranging from 30 seconds to 5 minutes. These courses place intern employees in “real†scenarios, such as customer service, management, and the Black Friday shopping carnival, allowing employees to make judgments and make decisions.
You may not be familiar with STRIVR Studios. It is a start-up company founded in 2015 and headquartered in California. The company was founded by Derek Belch, a former Stanford University football player and assistant coach, and Jeremy Bailenson, a Stanford University virtual human interactive laboratory leader. It develops athlete training programs using proprietary software. Wal-Mart's CEO Derek Belcher just hit the STRIVR studio for the University of Arkansas football team to create a VR scene, with the STRIVR studio hit it off.
Wal-Mart has discussed with STRIVR the work scenarios for Wal-Mart's employee training. Derek Belcher said that the design scene is very rich, from small bags to large store management, Wal-Mart does not use any content can not fully play VR effect.
For STRIVR studio, cooperation with Wal-Mart made it fame. In addition to athlete VR training, STRIVR also received cooperation projects with financial services companies and car companies.
