Modulation and demodulation:
The so-called modulation is to use a signal (the original signal is also called a modulation signal) to control a certain parameter of another signal (carrier signal), thereby generating a modulated signal,
Demodulation is the reverse process, which is to recover the original signal from the modulated signal.
According to the different signal parameters controlled, modulation can be divided into:
Amplitude modulation, a modulation method that changes the amplitude of the carrier wave as the magnitude of the modulation signal changes.
Frequency modulation makes the instantaneous frequency of the carrier vary with the size of the modulation signal, while the amplitude remains the same.
Phase modulation, using the original signal to control the phase of the carrier signal.
The essence of these three modulation methods is to carry out spectrum shift on the original signal, and move the spectrum of the signal to the higher frequency band required, thereby meeting the needs of signal transmission.
