According to Japanese media reports, Mitsubishi Chemical has developed a new plan for "Aptsis15" with the concept of "coordinating cooperation and achieving further leap in growth and creation."
The program began in 2011 for a period of five years. According to the plan, in the next five years, Mitsubishi Chemical will invest 1 trillion yen in equipment investment and 750 billion yen in research and development costs, focusing on the LED and ion battery business.
The company estimates that by 2015, its total sales will increase from 3.19 trillion yen in 2010 to 5 trillion yen, and operating profit will increase from 200 billion yen to 400 billion yen.
