Cross cutting, high precision fixed length and cutting control

MCT motion controllers are widely used in cutting control applications. The typical round knife cutting machine is used as an example to illustrate several typical applications. MCT126 synchronous controller can achieve high-precision fixed-length cutting control; using MCT126 synchronous controller and MCT205 register controller can achieve high-precision index cutting control; using MCT150 flying shear controller can achieve a longer length or length A wider range of cutting controls.
The MCT motion controller is also suitable for round knife die cutting machines. The control principle is the same as that of a round knife cross cutter.
[Fixed length cutting control]
As shown in Fig. 1, the feed roller is used as the main shaft and controlled externally; the blade roller is used as the slave axis, and the MCT 126 performs synchronous control. The encoder signals of feed roller and knife roller are all connected to MCT126. According to the need, touch screen or PLC can be used to communicate with MCT126.

Based on the MCT126 fixed-length cutting application, the MCT205 register controller is added to cooperate with it to achieve high-precision index cutting control.
As shown in Fig. 2, the MCT 205 has access to three signals: (1) feed roller encoder signal. Introduced directly from the MCT 126 (the MCT 126 is equipped with a coded signal output port). (2) The color code signal of the material. Detected by a color light sensor. (3) The knife roller position signal. A signal mark is set on the knife roller and detected by the photoeye.
The MCT 205 continuously detects the target cutting error through the above three signals, and at the same time sends a pulse trimming signal to the MCT 126 , and the MCT 126 adjusts the synchronization phase of the knife roller in real time according to the trimming signal, thereby realizing the automatic indexing control.

The MCT205 can store multiple sets of register operating parameters. The registration parameters of various products are determined during the first production and are stored in the MCT205. They can be easily called directly after production.
[Long cutting control]
Under normal circumstances, the cutting process requires that the line speed of the knife roll can not be lower than the speed of the material at the moment of cutting. Therefore, the MCT126 is usually applied to the case where the cutting length does not exceed the circumference of the knife roll. If the cutting length is longer or the length change range is larger, you can use the MCT150 flying shear controller to control the length or mark cutting, as shown in Figure 3.
