The MAX16067 flash configurable system manager monitors and ranks multiple system voltages. The MAX16067 can simultaneously manage six system voltages. The MAX16067 integrates an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and a configurable sequential supply output. All device configuration information, including overvoltage threshold, undervoltage threshold, delay time setting, and sequencing, is stored in non-volatile flash memory (memory is a memory device in a computer system that holds programs and data. Information, including raw raw data entered, computer programs, intermediate run results, and final run results are stored in memory). In the event of a fault, the fault flag and channel voltage are automatically stored in the non-volatile flash memory for readback.
A 10-bit ADC with an internal accuracy of 1% is used to measure each input and compare the result to an overvoltage threshold and an undervoltage threshold. A fault alarm signal is generated when the measured voltage exceeds the set threshold. The integrated sequencer can precisely control the power-on and power-down sequence of the six power supplies.
The MAX16067 features six programmable general-purpose input/output (GPIO). Once the GPIO is configured via flash, it can be used as a fault output, watchdog input or output, and manual reset. The MAX16067's nonvolatile fault memory is used to record information when the system is shut down. The fault logger records the fault status in the internal flash memory. To prevent accidental erasure of data, a latch bit can also be set to protect the stored fault data.
The MAX16067 uses SMBus or JTAG (JTAG is the English "Joint Test Action Group" short for the joint test behavior organization. The organization was founded in 1985 and is a PCB and IC test initiated by several major electronics manufacturers. Standard. JTAG is recommended by the IEEE as the IEEE 1149.1-1990 Test Access Port and Boundary Scan Architecture Standard in 1990. This standard specifies the hardware and software required for boundary scan. The MAX16067 is available in a 32-pin, 5mm x 5mm TQFN package and operates over the -40°C to +85°C extended temperature range.
