The Digital Kingdom is known for helping make special effects from Hollywood movies such as "Titanic" and "Beauty and the Beast." Now, the company has launched a complete one-stop production tool for virtual reality experience, including VR cameras.
The Digital Kingdom has produced special effects for more than 100 films, including Apollo 13, The Dream Come True, The Fifth Element, The Peerless, Star Trek 10: The Nemesis, and The Day After Tomorrow. and many more.
Rich Flier, director of business development at Digital Kingdom, said that although VR is currently a niche market, they believe that this will be an important part of business in five years time.
The digital kingdom was on the verge of bankruptcy in 2012 and was later acquired in July 2013 by Reliance Mediaworks and Hong Kong Aoliang Group.
Digital Kingdom introduced a highly portable new ring camera featuring advanced live streaming, post-production suites and a cloud-based VR distribution platform. Its one-stop creative platform enables visual effects production, real-time splicing and encoding, live streaming, application development and content distribution. At the NAB conference this week, Digital Kingdom demonstrated their VR suite.

Flahert said that the director can now shoot movies in VR and use tools such as "virtual cameraman" to make immersive storytelling. The tools provided by Digital Kingdom are compatible with multiple platforms, including iOS, Android, Samsung Gear VR, PSVR, Google Daydream, HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, and more.
