Lumex launches new TitanBrite series of high-brightness wireless bonded LEDs

Wireless Bonded LED technology, also known as "flip-chip" technology, has several key performance advantages over traditional SMTLEDs, including increased durability, enhanced heat dissipation, and better luminescence performance. TitanBrite wireless bonding LED applications include: automotive, electrical, industrial control, medical, signage, construction, military and other lighting products.

The higher impact and vibration resistance of wireless bonded LEDs over conventional LEDs stems from their more durable design. With no wire bonding and a hard epoxy layer, wirelessly bonded LEDs are more rugged than standard high power LED designs and deliver up to five times the strength. In addition, wireless bonded LEDs have excellent thermal performance and are more resistant to shock and vibration than traditional high power LED technology.

Wireless bonded LEDs can withstand higher temperatures without compromising performance and have a larger surface area for heat dissipation, allowing them to dissipate heat more efficiently. Since the bond pads are mounted on the bottom of the flip chip, heat is transferred faster than conventional high power LEDs, making this technology 25% more efficient than conventional high power wire bonding techniques.

Wireless bonded LEDs provide superior luminescence performance over traditional LED technology. Achieve higher brightness output in a more compact space, illuminating performance is not affected by backlight or other obstacles, and performance is stable. Through wireless bonding technology, the wafer can directly emit light from the top and side, without the need for wire bonding to cause projection or uneven light distribution, which can increase the brightness output by 15%.

Lumex's TitanBrite wireless bonded LEDs are the only flip chip LEDs available on the market that offer standard or custom color shapes. Standard shapes are round and rectangular. Lumex can also design a variety of custom shapes, such as octagons and triangles, to suit any application.

TitanBrite standard colors are warm white and cool white, and custom products are available in blue. The LEDs are RoHS compliant. In addition to 3W, 6W and 9W specifications, 3W wireless bonded light bar modules are available (cold white and Warm white) and 6W wireless bonding light bar module (cold white and warm white).
