RIM Announces Recall of More Than 900 BlackBerry PlayBook Tablets

The new BlackBerry PlayBook tablet released by RIM seems to have encountered another deceleration hurdle. According to an American technology blog Engadget reported on Saturday, RIM is recalling more than 900 faulty BlackBerry PlayBook tablets.

The report said RIM will recall 935 BlackBerry PlayBook tablets sold through the Staples store. The Engadget website announced the number of 935 BlackBerry PlayBook tablet units to be recalled.

It is unclear whether the recall is whether the Blackberry PlayBook sold by Staples in the United States or Canada, or the Blackberry PlayBook sold in these two countries.
