RMP is a frequency control center unit used to operate radio communication equipment (VHF, HF) and radio navigation equipment (VOR, DME, ILS, ADF), which is an important part of aircraft communication navigation (see Figure 1). RMP test bench design and production

According to the test requirements of the manufacturer's CMM manual, an integrated board card method is used to build a dedicated automated test platform with a modular and micro-computer system. RMP performance tests are performed through relevant test signals, and selective testing (single-step, continuous, cycle, etc.) is performed on the relevant test items. The test results are displayed on the display of the PC, and the test results can be saved or printed; Taiwan needs an external monitor, keyboard, mouse, printer, etc. The system block diagram is shown in Figure 3.

The test bench mainly includes 4U standard chassis, internal integrated circuit board, front panel, rear panel and so on. Figure 4 is a physical map of the front panel of the test bench. The main function of the RMP test bench is to provide various power supplies, discrete control signals, status indication signals, and signal transitions for the RMP. The test bench includes power control modules, discrete I/O modules, ARINC signal processing modules, serial communication modules, and microprocessor hosts. According to the manual requirements, the test equipment must comply with the ATLAS specification. The RMP dedicated test platform is a dedicated, miniaturized ATE equipment that can be automatically tested. The manual content details the modules that need to be tested. The ATLAS specification is available on the ATLAS website. The ATLAS language is a language specification for aviation-specific standard specifications. It can be automated on open ATE platforms such as ATEC6. Through ATLAS language programming, the resources in the ATE platform (such as power control, discrete signals, ARIN429 signals, serial communication signals, etc.) are automatically tested in the test process. Establish a test software interface in accordance with the flow of design to achieve all the functional testing of RMP, test software interface shown in Figure 6.

Use of RMP test bench

The performance of the RMP test bench was determined according to the original manual CMM23-13-15. After seeking the relevant equipment manufacturers to produce PCB board and front panel, conduct physical test. The test station meets the test requirements of the manual. The parameters tested include:

1) Inspection of part number and serial number, BITE self-test;

2) Grounding resistance and lightning protection test;

3) RAM, EEPROM and FLASHPROM testing;

4) Front panel function test;

5) Discrete input test;
