The Mozilla Foundation, a non-profit organization behind the Firefox browser, recently launched an experimental WebXR Viewer application designed for iOS devices. Developers can use this application to quickly test Web-based technologies and Web site-based AR built by ARKit.
According to Mozilla, the WebXR browser allows you to view websites created using Mozilla's JavaScript library, which provides sample code for API recommendations for building AR and VR applications in the browser. Mozilla believes that developers using this application can more easily test, demonstrate, and share their web-based AR experience.
Developers can download the WebXR browser for iOS on iTunes. Like ARKit, devices running iOS 11 can use this application.
