Epson pushes new 4K projector to support HDR selling price is about 53365 yuan

Epson released the new LS10500 laser projector this week, which is a sequel to the LS10000 released last year. Like the previous listing price, the pricing of the LS10500 is also 8,000 US dollars (about 53365 yuan). In contrast, the LS10500 adds support for High Dynamic Range (HDR), which means that it can display content from Blu-ray DVD players and 4K streaming services. This device has a brightness of 1500 lumens and a lamp life of 30,000 hours. In terms of gamut, it supports the DCI full color gamut.

Like previous versions, Epson's "4K enhancement" technology still plays a part in the LS10500's playback of Ultra HD content. Although only equipped with a 1080P chip, Epson can display 4K content by converting pixels to ultra HD levels. Obviously, human eyes cannot distinguish the changes.

In contrast, Sony's projector is equipped with its own 8 million pixel chip, so it can really show ultra-high-definition content. Of course, this also means that you have to spend 15,000 US dollars (about 100,000 yuan) to enjoy the "true 4K" picture quality. It is expected that the Epson LS10500 projector will be officially launched at the end of this year.
