The research team has now developed high-performance red, green, and blue QLED arrays with a resolution of approximately 2,500 pixels per inch. This QLED assembly is suitable for use in a deformable state so that it can be fabricated on unconventional curved substrates, including the surfaces of various objects. Further mechanical deformation, such as stretching or creping, is used to make QLEDs visible on people's skin. This new research breakthrough opens the possibility of opening other new applications for wearable electronics that integrate high-resolution full-color displays.
